English Premier League Info

The Premier League is the highest ranking of the English football league system. There are 20 football clubs that fighing their way to win the league, which works using a system that promotes and also demotes teams from the English Football League (EFL).

The league starts from the month of August to May with each clubs/team playing 38 matches home or away. Outside the United Kingdom this league is called English Premier League (EPL). Most matches are played on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

Historically, the game was established as the FA Premier League on 20 February 1992 as a result of following the decision of teams or members in the Football League First Division to leave the Football League, which was established in 1888. This move was also seen as a gateway for the clubs to sign in the lucratives and profitable TV commercial deals which was worth £1 billion a year domestically. The league whops €2.2 billion per year in domestic and international TV rights. In 2014–15, clubs were apportioned revenues of £1,600 million.

For example during the 2014–15 season, the average Premier League game turn ups exceeded 36,000, second highest of any professional football league behind the Bundesliga’s 43,500.
